Hikari/Haruka are pretty awesome; they're Coordinators but can still fight well in general battles.
Misty for being the original Pokegirl and a Gym Leader; that's why we got Pokeshipping
Iris is nice, but somewhat of a brat at times.
Serena, well she's good at cooking but awful at Pokemon battles right now. (Her Fennekin is okay though, but she really needs to get a new Poke)

Eventually Serena will improve, but not now.
At least Iris made a damn good champion in White 2 IMO.
