Hi everyone,

 

I've found that some Pokemon names don't fit in the "Evolves from" field for Stage 1 Pokemon

(e.g. Darmanitan - Evolves from Darumaka). Oddly, these names work for Stage 2 Pokemon.

I think you have it wrong. You used both Darmanitan and Darumaka (which exceed 7 letters) and apparently both Stage 1 and Stage 2 cards require a certain limit on the letters. Such as if you replace the original Pokemons' name with something shorter, it will be able to be seen. But shortening the name of the Pokemon it is evolving from also works. So something to answer before asked: Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 cards are exactly the same but the amount of text in them between other cards is not.

 

EDIT: The Stage 2 and Stage 1  automatic text generators (like when you type stuff in and it appears) most likely are different; most likely the Stage 1 "Evolves from _____"  is more to the right than it should be.

 

So in conclusion: whether the words clump up together depends solely on the length of the name. Hope this helps
